How To Fix A Slow Computer That Use To Be Fast

Are you asking yourself why your computer is so slow? Do you wish your computer speed was back to when it was when you first purchased it. Are you experiencing problems that slow your computer down, your screen freezes frequently while you are working on the PC? Is your Internet so slow even with DSL or Cable? If so these steps will help you fix these issues.

The first step you will need to do is first download CCleaner. You can find the free application at the following link. http://www.ccleaner.com This 100% Spyware FREE. The CCleaner program will clean Temporary files, URL history, cookies, Autocomplete form history, index.dat., download history, Recycle Bin, Recent Documents, Temporary files, Log files. and recent file lists (MRUs) from many apps including Media Player, eMule, Kazaa, Google Toolbar, Netscape, MS Office, Nero, Adobe Acrobat, WinRAR, WinAce, WinZip and many more. This program will help clean up your PC and some of your issues.

To download CCleaner you will want to visit the following link, http://www.filehippo.com/download_ccleaner from there you will be able to download the latest version. Once you click on the download link a File Download box will appear. Next you will want to click on the “Run” button.

Next it will ask you to Run or Don’t Run the install. You will want to select Run.

Once you select Run it will ask you to select a language. Select your desired language.

You will then see the setup screen appear. From there click the Next button.

Next the License Agreement screen will appear, you will want to click “I Agree” button to proceed.

Next the program will show you where it will be installing the program. You can change the location if you like. Once you have confirmed your location you will want to click the next button.

Next CCleaner will ask you to select a list of options. From there you will want to select your desired options.

After you have selected your options you will then click on the Install button. From there CCleaner should be installed on your computer.

Now that you have installed CCleaner we will now move on.

The next step will be to download Spybot Search & Destroy. This application will scan for spyware, adware, hijackers and other malicious software. This is also a free application. You can download this application at the following links www.safer-networking.org/en/download or http://www.filehippo.com/download_spybot_search_destroy

Once you click on the download link a File Download box will appear. Next you will want to click on the “Run” button.

Next it will ask you to Run or Don’t Run the install. You will want to select Run.

Once you select Run it will ask you to select a language. Select your desired language.

The Spybot Search & Destroy install will then ask you to select a list of options. From there you will want to select your desired options, then press the Nest button.

Next it will ask you if it can create a shortcut, just click the Next Button.

Spybot Search & Destroy will then ask you to select a list of options. From there you will want to select your desired options, then press the Nest button.

The last install screen will appear, from there you will want to press the Install button.

Spybot Search & Destroy will ask you to restart your computer, you should restart your computer.

Now that you have installed CCleaner and Spybot Search & Destroy you can now start to clean out your computer so that you can get your computer to back the way it was when your first bought it.

First make sure all your programs and applications are closed. Once you have confirmed all applications are closed you will want to open up your CCleaner program. To do this you can double click on the shortcut that should be located on your desktop. If you cannot find the shortcut on your desktop you can click on Start-Programs-CCleaner. From there you will find the application that you will need to run.

Once CCleaner has opened you will want to click on the Analyze button. Now this will take sometime.

Once it has finished analyzing your computer you then will click on the Run Cleaner button. When clicking on this button the warning box will appear. You will want to click the OK button.

Now you may have to click the Run Cleaner button more then 1 time. Make sure shows that the cleaning is complete. Once this is finished you can shut down CCleaner.

Now that you have ran and completed running CCleaner you will now need to run Spybot Search & Destroy application. Make sure all your programs and applications are closed. Once you have confirmed all applications are closed you will want to open up your Spybot Search & Destroy program. To do this you can double click on the shortcut that should be located on your desktop. If you cannot find the shortcut on your desktop you can click on Start-Programs-Spybot Search & Destroy. From there you will find the application that you will need to run.

Once you open you the Spybot Search & Destroy application it will then ask you to create registry backup. To do this click on the Create registry backup button. This will take sometime. After your registry has backed up you will then press the next button.

Spybot Search & Destroy will then ask to search for updates. Click on the Search for updates button.

Once you have clicked on the search for updates button Spybot Search & Destroy will ask you to select a location on where you would want to download the updates. Here you will make your selection. Once you have made your selection you will then press the Next button.

Spybot Search & Destroy updater will appear. Please select the updates you need to proceed. Once you have made your selection you then will click the Download button.

Once Spybot Search & Destroy has been updated you can now start to run the application. To do this you will click on the Check For Problems button. This process will take sometime so please be patience.

Once Spybot Search & Destroy has finished running it might find some spyware, adware, hijackers and other malicious software. To remove this you will click on the Fix Selected Problems button.

When trying to remove these spyware, adware, hijackers and other malicious software, Spybot Search & Destroy will ask you to confirm the removal. Just press the Yes button.

Once you have pressed the yes button to remove these malicious software, a confirmation box will appear to show how many problems where fixed. Just note depending on how many spyware, adware, hijackers and other malicious software are on your computer, Spybot Search & Destroy might ask to reboot your computer so that it can run again before your computer fully boots up. This is because spyware, adware, hijackers and other malicious software cannot be deleted. If this happens just click on the Yes button to reboot and to start automatically.
