Are you having issues with your Scientific Atlanta HDTV Cable Explorer 8300HD? Is the picture not coming in right? Or maybe for some reason the picture goes in and out? Or maybe you just have no picture at all. These few steps should help you out instead!
1
Call your cable support phone. Once you shoot them a call, your provider will announce any outages that may be in the area. If you hear your town or area, this could be the reason you are having issues with your Scientific Atlanta HDTV Cable Explorer 8300HD Cable Box.
2
If you come to find out there are no outages in the area, the next step you will want to check for is loose wires. Make sure you have everything plugged in correctly. Everything should be plugged into your tv, cable box, and electric outlets.
3
If everything is plugged in correctly the next step is to reset your cable box. To do this, push and hold the power button for about 30 seconds. You should then see something that says, “boot”. You will have to wait about 5 minutes while your cable box reboots. Once it has fully booted up check out your cable, see if you are still having issues.
4
Lastly, if none of these steps work you will have to call your local cable technical support. Here they will be able to ping and test out your cable box to see if there are any issues with your cable itself. From there they should be able to help and resolve your issue.
