How do you put a sand prawn on ahook so you can start fishing? Learn how.

Select the prawn you want from the bucket of water.

Grip the prawn between your thumb and next two fingers, being careful to keep other fingers out of the way, as a prawn’s nip can be a little surprising, even if not seriously painful.

You will see a small gap near the end of the prawn’s tail. Thread the hook into it, pushing the prawn all along the length of the hook.

You may want to add a little cotton around the prawn to make sure the prawn is not lost the moment you cast the fishing line into the water.
