How to Use Coins to Decide Who Goes First in a Game

Heads or tails?

Be sure both of you agree which side of the coin is heads and which is tails.

One person chooses either heads or tails as his lucky side, while the other has to choose the other side.

One of you holds the coin between thumb and pointy finger, and gives it a spin as you toss it into the air.

Catch the coin with one hand, and then flip your hand over onto the back of your other hand. Remove your hand to reveal the coin and see which side of the coin is up.

If it’s your lucky side, you win.

Do it again for best of three.
