Most zoos and many private reserves have giraffes. By nature they are inquisitive, and friendly, and as they are in a protected environment, will come to humans easily. These instructions will give you the vital clue to ensuring that every giraffe photograph has you in it, with the giraffe paying attention to only you.

At the zoo it is almost essential to buy peanuts to feed the animals.
2
Giraffes love peanuts, so, while everyone else is depleting their peanuts you need to keep yours until you reach the giraffe’s enclosure.

At the giraffe enclosure give the giraffe only 4 or 5 peanuts at a time. It very quickly grasps that you have more peanuts, and that the yummy is in your hand. With a bit of practice you can get the giraffe to put its head just where you want it for photographs.
