There are easy ways to do things. And there is the correct way. This brief overview will give you valuable insight into constructing your first playing card house. Much patience is called for, as there isn’t really an easy or quick shortcut method.
1
Get a pack of cards, the more used they are the better, as the scuffed edges will help keep the cards together.
2
Build your card house on a level smooth table top, with a tablecloth, or a piece of felt on which to build.
3
Take two cards and prop them against each other, to form an inverted V.
4
With another two cards make another upside down V, right next to it, to form an upside down W.
5
Carefully place your fifth card, in its length, along the two points.
6
Repeat this process 4times to get WWWW, but upside down.
7
Now place cards on the open sections between the W’s.
8
The next row gets only three sections, as you have already done.
9
The next level gets two W’s, and the next only one, if, of course, you get this far.
10
The other alternative when building a house of cards is to use a touch of Cyano-acrylate (super glue), on the joints.
