How do I forward funny emails to friends, and keep the images etc there when click "forward"?
In: Computer, Internet & Information Technology; Asked By: teresaschultz; 2009-07-06 04:59:57
I regularly receive funny emails from my friends, that I like to forward to other friends to make them laugh too, but when I click forward and the new window comes up with the email in to send to my friends, it's just all in text, no nice colourful fonts or any images there at all. I use gmail. Sometimes I copy and file the images, then add them as attachments, and just send the text in boring font, at least the images are there, but I'd so like to just click forward, type in my friends' emails addresses and send! A few months ago, on just two or three occasions, it worked exactly as I wanted it to, but just those two or three times, then no more luck! Please help! Thanks!

    Teresaschultz -

Your instruction request was a little tuff to answer. There are many reasons why your images are not coming up on your friends and family email accounts.

    1. Make sure the recipient is receiving your email in HTML format. If they are using plain text setting on there email account, then it's possible it's an issue on their end.

    2. Make sure your images are being hosted for your embedded objects. When you receive an email with images, these images are being hosted somewhere. Sometimes these images are no longer being hosted hence could be there reason they are no longer appearing.

    3. If the recipient is using an Exchange Server which has security blocks against such embedded objects or if the recipient’s email settings block the embedded objects, the pictures simply won't appear. Make sure you ask your recipients if they are not blocking such embedded objects.

    4. Though it may take more time to attach the images as you are currently doing this is one of the best ways to forward an email with embedded objects.

I hope that this helps you with your issue. Again, thank you for using NeedInstructions.com!
