Eventually the pop-up stoppers in bathroom sinks will need to be repaired. They may become wrapped with hair or lose their seal. Any home owner with basic hand tools should be able to repair these simple stoppers. It only takes a couple of hours and a little cleaning and adjusting to fix them.

Pedestal sinks (also called lavatories or ped lavs) are great for creating an open look for smaller or half-baths. The look is stylish, yet affordable. They also take up much less space than a traditional sink and vanity. It's a good idea to have a helper for this project, since the sinks can be a little heavy, but two people should be able to install the sink in a day.
